This is a FREE COMMUNITY for all HIV POZ GAY MEN AND HIV POZ FRIENDLY PARTNERS who want to connect with others, whether it be for making new friends, or looking for a LTR. The community was created to serve many desires and needs of those of us who live with HIV. Tired of the frustrations of seeing faceless & informationless profiles, the time consuming search to connect with others, seeing more spam in Yahoo Groups than Hormel packs in a lifetime and other frustrations motivated me to start this new community. This community is fairly new, many of our members are new and the platform is new, offering many features you will not find anywhere else. SNAPP Network is still upgrading, adding and enhancing many of the features they offer on this platform. There will be days when this site moves slow or certain features may be disabled while SNAPP does their work.

Sharing ourselves can help empower others living with HIV and helps us connect with each other. Sharing photos of places, art, sunsets, and other stuff that has brought new meaning to your Life is a wonderful expression of who you are. The power of images, music and video does much for our spirits. It is a simple expression of WHO we are, what we love.

For those who are looking for an LTR, your profile on your homepage allows you to share who you are and those inputs through our enhanced search features will connect others to you. There is no need to "repost" that same basic information in group postings and blogs thanks to these enhanced search features! Introduce yourself briefly in the PozQueers Promenade Arena Group. Share your experiences, feelings and thoughts in our groups and your blogs.

"The BEST part of any journey is the people we meet along the way." Sharing who we are may help others and in our sharing we truly enrich ourselves and those we meet along that journey. This private community I started is a social network that is free and ad supported. Its still new and growing. I am looking for THOSE WHO TRULY ENJOY NETWORKING with other HIV POZ GAY MEN.

You can do much in the new POZQUEERS community including the capability of embedding images, video and audio players into YOUR blogs, private and group messages, page comments to others and much more. Other features including chat, IM, seeing who has viewed your page, and other member elements that allow you to see activity.

Building a New Community of Men loving Men, sharing who we are, what we love about ourselves, others and Life, celebrating ourselves and our living with HIV - in doing so we may make a difference in someone else’s Life – possibly even our own.

Those are the reasons I embarked upon starting this community on the Internet, pure and simple. I have experienced and seen others’ frustrations when trying to find a good forum on the net to only later find it cluttered with spamming, trolling, “webcam live, hot jocks, wanna hookup tonight, hot female [men] now online,” and the rest of what comes with people who are out there pushing their adult sites/group, many are pushing just photo sharing groups to collect your email address in their membership rolls. They then sell those lists to other companies and you know what comes next – SPAM! I have no problem with nude photos; most of us enjoy looking at other men. What I have a problem with is having to navigate to another group or site for support and then another site for information. Many of the main HIV POZ sites are good but limiting with features. Some give you free access with limitations then ask you to shell out dollars. They bait you with the word “free” and try to get you to spend dollars every 3 months or year to “upgrade” to see photos and send unlimited messages. They also sell banner ads and make a lot of dollars off that! Charging us high fees and making more money on top of it from our membership rolls. Our being HIV POZ has opened up a whole new exploitive industry targeted at our disease. Other sites are mixed with everyone and anyone can join regardless of age.

That for me was the last straw! So I said to my best friend that I wanted to make a difference! I wanted to have a place for people like me, who want to easily connect with others for whatever they are looking for, to enjoy their Internet experience, be able to express themselves freely, meet others HIV POZ gay men without having to dig into your wallet!

Within any community there are bound to be many things that have to be built and improved upon. You always start with a good foundation and you have to build upon it. This community does have some basic guidelines and rules – they are there to protect this community. I am always open to suggestions to anything you see that may improve and build this community.

This community is for HIV+ gay queer BI men only, however, if your partner is HIV NEG please do not hesitate to let him know that he is welcomed into our community! If you personally know someone who is HIV NEG who has openly dated or been partnered with HIV POZ men, they too are welcomed. Those men also are truly a part of our community and should not be denied access to our community.

This community was set-up as being private and will remain so. An invite is required to keep out the spammers and internet escorts and other trollers.

Your photos, group/forum postings, blogs, homepages, sharing what you like, what you desire, your dreams, goals, attitudes, feelings, and “all that jazz” may empower those who need the empowerment.

Many of us here have at some time in our Life needed that empowerment and received from it from what we learned or saw in others.
